When you say affirming, supportive words, they carry and energy that returns to you in physical form. Remember that each one has power and will resonate into the universe, seeking its reflection in manifest form.

Your body responds to praise, as does everything in the world around you. Praise if for its inherent health and beauty. Applaud yourself for everything you do, as even the tiniest accomplishments are important. Praise your bills: give thanks for the services you enjoy, and watch the ability to pay them increase as you align with Spirit’s increasing power.

This is also a time to remember the powerful practice of affirmations. Write them down and speak them aloud as a spiritual exercise. Say it is so-and it will be. It’s a very auspicious sign when the World Lord chooses to be your Ally.”*

Back to school today, accompanied with pouring rain, which definitely makes it suddenly feel like fall is here and summer is over. Sigh… back to routine!! My daughter was up at 6:30 this morning, figuring out what to wear for the first day of grade 3, important decisions!! I had laid out three new shirts for each of the kids, and they got two new pairs of shoes and a couple of pairs of jeans. Nothing too exciting really, we are re-using back packs and lunch kits this year so they just had to go through the wash.

My son was anxious about school this morning, and I decided to keep him home until they get organized and decide their classes and teachers. They ask the kids to go into their original class rooms from last year for the first few days until they get a final head count, as many parents just “show up” at the school during the first week rather than bother actually registering their kids. The good part is that the school is fairly small, so it ups the attendance numbers, getting the school out of the danger zone of being closed down. The not so good part is that kids are back in with their old teachers, so it can be a bit confusing for the younger kids to be moved to a new teacher and class room after a few days. Being that my son’s kindergarten year was a little rocky last year (to say the least), I decided to skip the chaos and I will bring him to school in a couple of days when they get it all sorted out. I am hoping that walking straight into a new class room with a new teacher and no expectations will help him feel like he has a clean slate. No falling back into old habits, and no picking up on not-so-positive vibes from a teacher who struggled with him last year.

This card really validates my decision as it points out how important praise and affirmations are. How great we feel when we fit in, instead of living “down” to someone’s low expectations of us. I will do my best to support my son in hopes of turning his apprehensive attitude towards school into a positive one, something he actually looks forward to. And while I’m at it? I’m going to praise my bills! Why not? If he can see school as a positive experience after a big struggle last year, I can see paying my bills as a positive experience, which will help me increase my finances and create more abundance! Everything is connected, we just have to see the connection and plug in!
