You may be feeling a little sensitive today, or a bit emotional or even melancholy. This is just a simple sign that you need a little “alone time.” Everything is in perfect Divine Order, and you are on the right path. This is Mercury Retrograde, simply asking you to go a little deeper. What is it that you really, truly desire? Although this may pop into your head as something of material nature, look deeper into the Soul to see where this desire originates from.

Boiled down to their essence, most of our material desires stem from our craving for love, peace, joy, security and freedom. When we want an abundance of money, it is not the money itself, but the freedom and security that it provides which we ache for; the freedom from fear, doubt and constant worry. When we wish to have a new career, it is usually because we are not feeling fulfilled; or that we are not fulfilling our Soul’s purpose. When we wish for health, it is to ensure a longer, pain free life of freedom and joy.

So what if, today, we focus only on the core feelings that we wish to live our lives in. Love. Joy. Peace. Fulfillment. Freedom. Security. What if we put aside the “what’s” of it all; the new job, big house, fast car, hot romance, perfect health… and instead focused all of our energy on the desired feeling; the Universal Truth of our heart’s yearning? What if we concentrated all of our energetic resources into raising our vibration to attract the purity of the emotional feeling, and only that. Would it be possible then, that rather than obsessing about the house, we just asked for peace and security? Rather than hating our job we could focus on freedom and joy? And rather than feeling alone and lonely we focused all of our existence on becoming the embodiment of Unconditional love? Would this shift our perspectives from what is lacking that we just cannot seem to attract or manifest, into a world of infinite possibility?

The fastest, simplest way to go about this is to acknowledge that we already have everything we need within us, and all we have to do is grant ourselves access. For this, we use deep breathing and repetition of the most powerful prayers available to us, the I AM mantras. Focus on the picture in the card above… the flower of life, the darkness and the light, the transformative power of the butterfly; the Sun, the Moon, the stars and the Earth; love and Universal Wisdom… and know that you are a part of it all.
