You are not responsible for the actions of others, only your reaction to them. Same goes for everything going on in the world right now. You can watch the news in horror and despair, sending love and prayers or even money to those in need. But really our most powerful action is finding peace within ourselves, organizing our own lives to be as balanced and healing as we possibly can, and help others to do the same.

It is always our choice; live in fear or live in peace. Worrying only causes more stress. Fear only attracts more of the same. Finding peace within conflict and chaos is our most powerful tool to align us with the Divine. Inner peace will create outer peace eventually as we change one by one. All we need is one hundred peaceful monkeys right?

So will you be a fearful monkey and join the masses, or will you strive to be the peaceful monkey and create lasting change? No one is perfect, this may not happen overnight; and there is always something next in line to throw you off course. But you can commit to inner peace. You can decide to come back to your breath no matter what is happening. You can choose to live in the moment, to connect to something bigger and to let in more and more Light. You can choose to be that change we all so desperately need in this world. Choose not to get caught up in the drama but to rise above it, despite whatever else may be going on.

Enlightenment and illumination are yours if you choose them. Choose peace, choose tranquility and choose love.
