…. so, I wrote a special message for today. But I have wiped it out for something more important to me, I hope you don’t mind. I feel like I need to share something else. Yesterday (well to be completely honest, today as I am writing this in advance as usual…) I was triggered. And I need to get this off my chest.
Someone told me that they feel like my posts are repetitive, inauthentic, cliche (It was even suggested that I don’t actually read what I write. Yes, I know there are typos, I haven’t taken a typing class since grade 7! It is not my strong point, I thought being that it’s free no one would really mind)…. and the very worst part…that I’m coming off as a guru… Which is pretty much the opposite of everything I have worked for. So it hit me pretty hard to be completely honest. I could dismiss it, but I am sensitive and I am also aware that if it triggers me, and I feel defensive and take it personally, that there must be some fear in there too. I feel like I need to explain my reason for doing this so that everyone understands. Even though I know I don’t actually need to. But I’m human so please hear me out.
So here goes.
I started this blog because I wanted to be of service. I was told right at the beginning, by three people I knew, that no one would read it. I wrote it anyway. I figured that I like writing and I want to help people and what better way to try help wake everyone up to a more spiritual existence, including myself. I wanted to do what no one else was doing at the time… write every day. I use the cards to give me direction, and a visual cue. (I buy hundreds of dollars worth of cards and about six months ago when I was lamenting the cost of the cards and the site itself a friend offered to put a donation button on it for me to help offset costs. It’s definitely helped and I am so very grateful). I kept writing.
I want to keep writing. But I do not want to be a guru. I see a guru as someone who is trying to sell you a way of being in the world that matches their own belief system. It involves a hierarchy, a scheme that you have to buy into. It’s ego based and it generally revolves around money and fame and them being somehow higher up than anyone else in the overall picture. Usually with a bunch of rules you have to live by, or lifestyle choices that you would be judged harshly for not living up to. I am a work in progress. I’m learning as I write this, along with anyone who chooses to read it. I mean to be as authentic as I can, whether I pull it off effectively every day or not. My apologies when I don’t. The messages are often repetitive because, unfortunately, humans don’t necessarily read something once, go make all the necessary changes and immediately move forward with their lives. I’m assuming if they did, they wouldn’t bother reading what I write, they wouldn’t need it. It took me five years to make big and very necessary yet totally terrifying changes in my own life. I needed to work up to it. Maybe it will take someone else less. Maybe I can help to inspire and motivate them. Ideally, Empower them. Or maybe they will do it on their own time regardless of what I write, and maybe I don’t want that kind of pressure anyway.
I cannot guarantee that I will never ever monetize my work, I may need to at some point, but it isn’t my main concern and hasn’t been for the last 4 years or so that I’ve been doing this. I have other ways of making enough money to get by and I am working on my abundance and prosperity, just like you probably are, we are all in this together. If I do go that way one day, I will try to always make sure I offer something complimentary to be of service and try to be as accessible as I am able to be. I already have two other businesses, hair and jewelry. I do hair to support myself and my kids and I do the jewelry for the healing and metaphysical properties of the stones in hopes of helping people to heal, body, mind and spirit. Between the two jobs and the two kids with school and sports and hobbies and play dates, and four pets, we are pretty busy over here. But I make time to write. I take it as seriously as a paid job.
It is not surprising that all this has come up now. It is also not surprising that I’m feeling emotional and on edge with all this lunar madness! We are supposed to be feeling this way, it’s part of the purging, the letting go of the need to try and control. Centering into the heart and letting go of the ego, the self-doubt, the worry and the fear. Breaking down boundaries and limitations. Having faith that you can keep doing what you are doing with love and somehow that it will all work out. That people will see, feel and honour the real, authentic You.
That you are just doing your best with what you have to offer.
So let’s embrace this madness. The Super Blue Moon with a lunar eclipse something that hasn’t happened in our sky for 150 years. How are YOU feeling today? Are you a little off kilter? Did something blindside you? How are you handling it all? It’s a bit of a roller coaster isn’t it!

So let us collectively let all that old crap GO! All the fear and doubt and worry and anything that is limiting us or holding us back. Including the judgment or opinions of others. Let it all go.
Let’s use this energy to make some positive and lasting changes, even if they are simply shifts in how we see ourselves in the world.
What do you wish to create? It is a question worth repeating every single day, as it brings our awareness to how powerful we really are in creating our reality. In taking responsibility for it. It is an answer that could change, and we must be focused in order to manifest our dreams.
Take this crazy energy and use it to move forward fearlessly. Create with clarity and intention. This is your chance, your window of opportunity. A portal.
Use it wisely.

I’m so sorry to hear that you have received negative and hurtful comments about your work. I love what you’re doing and check the card for the day in the morning before meditating – a new practice for me. I try to take some of your message with me into my meditation and certainly into my day. I have a strong religious faith and am not absolutely sure how I feel about the idea of wizards or dragons etc as ‘real’, BUT the messages are authentic and completely in harmony with my own beliefs, so I don’t think that really matters. If we try to be the best version of ourselves that we can in order to follow our true path in life then that is what you’re trying to help us with. And, you’re right, sometimes we do have to hear the same message multiple times before we eventually take notice! Keep doing what you do and, hopefully, you can rise above this. We will always be challenged along the way but I feel that just serves to make us the more steadfast when we are genuinely dedicating ourselves to something for the highest good. Thank you for this inspirational blog.

I find it disgraceful actually, that they had the cheek to criticise your very hard work, and I am ashamed of myself for not producing even a quarter of your wonderful inspiration! I have no children, no partner and just one job.
I appreciate immensely your posts and they are the first thing I read in the morning and I am sorry I have not yet donated to the cause: the excuse is that every time I pay for something overseas, especially online, my bank blocks my card, so I have stopped doing it! I keep thinking of remedying it but, again, with all the free time at my disposal, I have not yet done it. Each morning I reach out to my night table and grab my phone. The first thing I do is open your page and see what “my card” says today. I love cards and ritually pull from my own variety of decks each week, and one daily. Often times the cards you choose dovetail so beautifully and confirm or challenge my choices. Your work, dedication and encouragement is a bright spot in my day and it is for many others. You encourage thousands every day to see the ups and downs of incarnation through an eternal lens. To play with “reality” and seek their own soul evolution. And we are grateful.
A more important question for you, is why were you triggered? The traditional guru- disciple relationship was not built around spiritual authority or exclusivity. The guru was one who sought his own evolution by teaching what he needed to learn. It seems to me that you very much are a guru. You are also a disciple. Remember, you are all there is. There is nothing less than you in all the world. There is also nothing greater. You are the entire ocean in a drop. You forgot that yesterday when someone tried to shame you. It’s okay. Now you’ll remember.
The message you received yesterday was more about the sender than yourself. You are a mirror. There is something about your practice that inspires jealousy, fear or shame in the other. That’s his or her circus, not yours. It’s beautiful you were honest, because this gives your community the opportunity to tell you how important your work is. Perhaps sometimes it seems small. It’s not. We are approaching critical mass to change the planet, and we need every hand on deck and every voice heard. The Source has wisely given you a platform for reach more than many of us can. Continue to do that fearlessly. You are a midwife for the spiritual evolution of humanity. Do your work with pride and humility. Thank you again, dear one, for your service. So it is.

I LOVE your posts! I have been on the path a very long time. So much of what I see and read is very “been there done that” for me. Not that there is anything wrong with those who share that. We are all where we are and that which does not speak to me speaks to someone else who needs it. I don’t even remember how I stumbled into you. But, I can tell you truth from my heart that more often than not what you share and your insights resonate deeply with my heart and soul. There have been many times I have known that Spirit was speaking though you to me. There are many, many emails I delete or don’t read for a long time. Not yours. Yours are very important to me each day. There are days when I know it’s not necessarily for me but more for someone else who is reading it. Yet, even on those days there is usually one sentence or a few words that resonate for me. Try not to pay attention to those who forget that they come from LOVE…know that what you share is very important to many…and if all else fails remember the Regina Brett quote “what others think of you is none of your business”. After all, it comes though their filters, life experiences and choices. It really has nothing to do with you or who you really are! Hugs, Love and Much, Much Gratitude coming your way! ❤

I just read your post. I read it everyday. I look forward to it everyday and on the one or two days that I didn’t see it in my inbox when I woke up, I missed it. I agree. We are all in this together. We are all doing the best that we can and growing each day, hopefully, in the way that we are meant to. We take the contrast, we learn and we grow. We are all at different stages in our development. I know it’s hard in the moment to see the feedback you were given as a gift but, today, I am able to take criticism as a gift. I know it stings but if you can use it, as you have done, as a tool to help you to illuminate parts of you that are triggered by it and allow it to help you to grow, then it is a gift. The person who wrote it is at a different stage in their development. It is possible that you are not the person to help them through this stage and that’s o.k. too. I, for one, love to read your posts and I am grateful. You have been a big part of my journey of self-discovery. So, please remember that for every one person out there who does not appreciate what you do, there will be many who do. You can’t please everyone but if you can stay true to yourself, you will help people and grow along the way.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts & experience with negative energy. The part that resonated with me was about repetitive messages. I give messages to people. They are often repetitive because A. Until change is made the messages remain the same & B. We are all eternal souls, walking a human journey & are all connected. Why wouldn’t messages resonate with a vast amount of us?

I want to be clear, I look forward to this EVERYDAY. When I wake up, before I do anything else, I read what card you have pulled and what you have to say about it. I feel like it centers my day and then Im ready to move forward powered with intention. Yes, Im learning and I look forward to it. When you work in the light, someone is going to try and knock you down. That is too bad because we should be helping each other be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. Supporting each other instead of knocking each other down. If the person who said those things to you doesnt like what you are doing, they simply dont have to read it. Hello precious friend🤗 I just want to say that thank you for all you do. Please don’t listen to those “nay sayers” . At some point in their lives someone put them down for not being perfect at what they are dreaming and doing. So they go on with life thinking that it is okay to treat others like that. I usually try to send them lots of loving vibes because I know they are lacking in the self LOVE department. You, my precious angel, have gotten me through so many many many rough times and delivered so much faith, good news, love, compassion and trust with your daily readings. I start my day with you and every time you have been perfectly right! I am so proud to be a part of your online family. You keep shining your light and being you…authentically and fantastically you. You are am amazing human being and I am grateful for all you do for us! I have never really understood why people feel the need to criticize others and I am sorry they do not appteciate what you do. I found your site about a year ago and I really enjoy reading your thoughts on the cards. I also believe the messages come out saying the same things because we are not getting the messages. So in order for us to see it the angels and higher ups keep repeating it. I love your interpretations of the cards because I can be a little dense when it come to what they are saying. Naysayers can leave and then the rest if us are left with the best parts. As to the full moon and its affects on me, I have a cold, which never happens. I took the day off of work for me today…which I never do. I am currently working on finding a way to become financially free of my job…which I really need to leave. Please keep writing and saying your thoughts because this is one person who enjoy it and is also learning from them.
