Ace Of Swords: “Force”

Outcome: “You will triumph over lies, adversity, and ignorance. A brilliant new idea, a long term goal, or a major principle will reveal itself. Your life’s unique purpose will become more clear. A channel to sacred wisdom will open.”

The Dream: “Under an azure sky in the Realm of Air, the forces of truth and justice have triumphed. The message of the raised sword is that adversity and doubt can be conquered through effort. But the element of the suit of Swords is Air – the element of ideas – and so this victory also represents the power of the mind to prevail over uncertainties. Twenty-two white butterflies symbolize that all resources have been joined to reach the pinnacle, the sword’s point. The waning and waxing crescent moons as the sword’s base and tip, respectively, show that a completely new phase of action is beginning; this is a phase of expansion. The large butterfly at the bottom of the card symbolizes the ability of ideas to move through the air. In the corner are four shields representing the protection afforded by mental powers. Behind the sword is a shape resembling a spade, the unifying background shape on all the cards of The Enchanted Tarot’s suit of Swords.”

The Awakening: “Make long term goals and initiate them now. Some destruction may be necessary to cut away the dead wood to make way for something new, but do not use force or manipulation. If you use force or manipulation as punishment, then Karma will lay you low. This is a two-edged sword that can both attack and defend. Concentrate on principles and not on form.”

The Enchantment: “Begin a new project with this prayer: ‘Angel of the Ream of Air, your blazing sword sweeps aside my enemies and your truth drives away the shadows of doubt. Help me to be brave and to triumph today and tomorrow.”*

A new beginning that starts within the mind. The element of Air. A though brought to form through intention, mindfulness and positive emotion can only succeed. Yes there will be sacrifice, and yes there will be a necessary stepping out of the comfort zone. A shift in perspective and a reforming of what is true for you.
