The Challenge: “Self Criticism ~ Obstruction ~ Go For It”

“This faerie stands before you as you set off on your journey. She bars the way and demands an answer to her challenge. She asks you to be brave. She may try to dissuade you from your task by whispering undermining thoughts in your ear. She is testing you. Do not give in. Stand up to her, and she will gladly step aside and let you pass.

If this faerie appears in your reading, ask yourself this question: Are you up to the challenge of a new venture or are you too self critical to attempt it? The Challenge asks you to step up to the mark and do whatever is being asked of you. Do not let self criticism get in the way. It is important to look at yourself, your motives, and your goals in a realistic way, but do not be tempted to listen to the voice that tells you that you are not good enough, smart enough, beautiful enough, or talented enough to attempt the task in font of you. If you are thinking about beginning a new relationship or venture, but the voice in your head keeps whispering that you are just not good enough to even consider it, remember that this is a challenge. You are being tested, so go for it, and you will be surprised at how much you can achieve.”*

The Challenge Faerie is here to force you to face your fears and step forward regardless. This time, they need not hold you back. Can you feel the new energy of this message? Can you feel yourself rise above all the petty setbacks of the past, many of which were orchestrated by your meddling ego? Well, it’s time to release all that no longer serves you, step into your power and claim your new reality. Breathe that in. How does it feel?

Stop and feel the butterflies in your belly; can you imagine magically turning any anxiety into excitement and positive anticipation? Stop and take three slow, deep grounding breaths; and with each one, see your fears recede and a new enthusiasm take over. You’ve got this, can you feel it? Plant both feet firmly on the ground, if possible bare feet and outside, even if only for the duration of those deep breaths, and feel the strength come right up from the Earth. Mother Gaia sends her loving support. Send any fears and doubts down through your feet to be transmuted and take a moment to wrap yourself in a blanket of pure joy.

Know you are fully supported by the Universe. Know that The Challenge is but an illusion; a test. Step up to the Challenge and say (aloud if possible, or silently):

I AM beautiful. I AM capable. I AM everything I need. I AM free to move forward.

And then, with conscious intention take a big step forward into the New.
