Archangel Michael: “Archangel Michael is the presence of courage, strength, and integrity.”

Meaning: “It is time to shield yourself. You are very sensitive and you feel the weight and pressure of other people’s emotions. Ground yourself and reclaim your space. Time to disengage from people and situations that drain your physical, emotional and spiritual energy. Call on Michael’s sword of blue light to free you from negative attachments.

Interpretation: “Archangel Michael is often pictured with a sword and shield to represent his ability to bring protection as well as to cut away that which is no longer needed in our lives. Even though Michael is an Angel, His energy may still be called upon during shamanic cord cutting rituals in order to insure the cords are permanently severed and rapid healing of the cuts takes place. No matter the situation, no matter the challenge, Michael stands ready with his sword and host of Angels to protect and serve all who call upon him for assistance. He clears the path of obstacles and he gives you strength and courage to carry on during the dark times in your life. He fills you with hope, inspiration, and faith that the Universe is always on your side. Michael protects against negative or psychic attack and astral debris that can cling to your energy field.”*

I have written many posts on the importance of shielding and cutting cords; the reason that it keeps coming up is that we are continually coming into contact with other people’s energies, and it is very easy for us, particularly those who are sensitive energetically, to pick up these energies and be affected by them. This would be great if everyone we came into contact with was vibrating at a positive high vibration, but unfortunately this is not usually the case! When we come into contact with an angry or irritated boss, a driver with road rage, or a temperamental family member, it can take a toll on our energy and feelings of well-being. Ideally, we will perfect the art of “allowing,” which would mean that we could allow the people around us to be whatever way they choose for themselves, without being affected by it in any way, but that is an ongoing process too.

For the time being, while we are working towards allowing, and raising our own consciousness and vibration, we can ask Archangel Michael to help us cut those cords, or hooks as they are often called. All that is required is asking, and a quick visualization really helps too, but is not necessary. I like to focus on the area or chakra that I feel has been affected, and imagine Archangel Michael taking his blue sword of light to slice right through any cords. If I know who the cord belongs to, I imagine it reconnecting to this person, in a healing way, and my own cord reconnecting to me in the same positive healing way. I then ask and visualize Archangel Michael using his violet “vacuum” of light to literally suck out any and all lower vibrational or negative energies out of all of my energy centers, chakras, and physical body. Lastly, I ask and imagine Archangel Michael surrounding me with a sphere of bright white love and light; protecting me from any and all lower vibrational energies that I may come into contact with.

These steps can be repeated daily, or more than once a day. It can be repeated whenever you come into contact with a negative or lower energy person or situation, and it can be done when you are feeling down or low energy. I always finish with gratitude, thanking the Angels and Archangels for protecting me and my family, sending love and light, protection and healing energy. I thank them for staying my my side, sending me clear signs of their loving presence and guiding me on my Divine path. And I look for signs everywhere, which not only raises my vibration, but brings me joy as I see that my prayers are always answered, as are yours!
