Daily Angel Oracle Card: Reflection, from The Sirian Starseed Tarot Card deck, by Patricia Cori and Alysa Bartha
Reflection: “In this first cycle of earthly reality, Starseed has learned the essentials of existence in form:
~The magic of manifesting form.
~Higher self and the inherent wisdom we bring through our karmic record
~The flow of energy in all its boundless expression
~The importance of structure in the creative stream
~Spiritual guidance
~The giving of one’s self to love
~The power of right mind over the senses
~The meaning of true strength”
“At the end of this first cycle (I-IX), it is time to rest and reflect on all that has been learned. It is time to ruminate on the wisdom of Starseed’s passage thus far.
To achieve the silence to contemplate such important lessons, Starseed is guided to go into a sort of hermitage, far from the distraction of people and events, and back to the quiet of nature, where the greatest truths lie.
At a time when humankind is bombarded with all manner of noise and distraction via our personal interactions, technology, and media, the path of the hermit can be the remedy to restoring peace in the mind and the soul.
Associated with Reflection are the words hermitage, silence, contemplation, meditation, stillness, and peace.
When Reflection appears in a reading, the querent might consider the following: Am I able to silence my mind and reflect on the situation at hand? How am I quieting my mind to contemplate the higher truth? Am I able to be still and listen to my inner voice? Do I need to get away, to find the guidance I need in the situation? Have I matured from what I have learned? How am I behaving like a hermit to those who seek my attention or guidance?”

2017 has been quite the year to contemplate. A lot has happened. So very much it feels like too much. It is the beginning of the cycle of the next nine years. It is the beginning of the biggest shift of the ages. The release. The purging. The clearing of the slate. This is the beginning of the shattering of illusions. Bringing of the truth. Leveling of the field.
It has been so extreme at times. It has been heartbreaking. It has been liberating and transforming. It is powerful energy, coming from above and below that has set the wheels into motion.
What do we see in the above image? A delving into the depths, shedding light into the darkest corners. A fearlessness; holding the light to guide the way. Refusing to let the darkness drive us back.
Here in Victoria, BC our city has been rocked by heartache in the most devastating way. On Christmas Day, local mother Sarah Cotton lost her two beautiful daughters at their father’s hand. I personally do not know her but many of my friends do, regardless she is part of our community here and she has suffered a loss no mother should ever suffer. There is so much to the story that would lead us to believe that she simply wasn’t listened to. (more about the story here). That her intuition and cries for assistance went unheeded. That her protective instincts were not honoured. And now she’s lost what is most dear to her heart. And my heart hurts for hers. Tonight at 7pm PST there will be a candlelight vigil for the girls. Please send your love and prayers to their mother.
What we need now more than ever is Light. We need to come together and help each other. Listen to each other. See each other. Really be here in the moment, being the most authentic versions of ourselves that we can be. Living from the heart center. Banding together as best we can. Refusing to let the darkness suffocate us. Embracing those who need us most.
Prayers of love and light to every single one of us and prayers to Sarah may she somehow find peace without her daughters in her care, but with her angels always by her side.
Namaste
Dee
